Bihar Assembly budget session begins next month

Patna, Jan 29 (UNI) The Budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and the state Legislative Council will begin simultaneously on February 22 here with Governor R S Gavai addressing the joint opening session.

The Budget for 2008-09 would be placed in both the Houses on February 25, official sources here today said adding that the third supplementary budget for the current fiscal would be placed on March 19.

The joint session, to be continued till April one in the state Assembly and April two in the state Legislative Council, would have 24 and 25 sittings respectively when a number of important Bills would be placed for discussion, State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ramashray Prasad Singh told UNI.
