Bardhan refuses to comment on CPI supporting Chiranjeevi's party
Hyderabad, Jan 29 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI) National Council general secretary A B Bardhan today refused to comment on his party extending support to actor Chiranjeevi if he launched a political party in the state.
Replying to a question about the possible support to Chiranjeevi's proposed party, he said there was no point in discussing about extending support when Mr Chiranjeevi had not yet launched his party.
He said ''first Chiranjeevi has to float a party and then we will come to a conclusion, considering its organisational set-up, programmes and ideology.'' He described as ''unfortunate'', yesterday's attack on Telugu actor Rajasekhar and his family members allegedly by Chiranjeevi's fans.
