Police said the ten people came to Panjagutta police station this morning and surrendered, claiming that they had attacked the film actor. They said they had followed the film actor's car from the railway station in five cars to ask the actor to withdraw his remarks on actor Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi's fans expressed anger on January 27 when Dr Rajasekhar said he would not join the megastar's proposed political party as Chiranjeevi had no political experience.
The film actor's wife Ms Jeevita had yesterday lodged a complaint against the assailants with the police, who registered cases under Section 147, 148, 341 and 314 yesterday.
Mr Chiranjeevi personally apologised in person to Dr Rajasekhar yesterday when the issue came to light.
