Obama gains momentum after S Carolina win

New Delhi, Jan 28, 2008 : Democratic Presidential candidates, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton began a grueling campaign to gain an edge in the 22 states that hold presidential nominating contests on February 5.

During his campaign on January 27th, Obama said that his landslide win in the Democrats' first southern primary this year marks a turn in party history, showing that a black candidate can appeal to voters of all colours and in all regions.
