One gets death sentence, four life imprisonment in a murder case

Hajipur, Jan 28 (UNI) A local sessions court today awarded death sentence to an accused and life imprisonment to four handed down in a murder case.

Additional district and sessions judge Premchandra Gupta found all the accused guilty of kidnapping and murder of Bittu(6), a native of Bari Yusufpur under Industrial police station in Vaishali district and awarded death sentence to the main accused Chintu Singh and life imprisonment to four others.

According to charges, the victim was abducted with an intention to extort money from his family. He was later killed by the hostage takers on February 27, last year after collecting the ransom.
