Mahila Morcha chief demands action against ashram school officials

Thane, Jan 28 (UNI) The Thane district BJP unit has demanded an action against the officials of the Bordi Ashram School, where a Class XII girl student delivered a child a couple of days back.

Talking to this correspondent from New Delhi, Maharashtra Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha chief Manisha Chowdhary said the girl had delivered the child at the primary healthy centre (PHC) on January 25.

Casting doubts over the functioning of the ashram school, she asked as to how the concerned officials could remain quite when the girl was pregnant for a period nine months? She demanded an action against the project officer, who is responsible for the tribals of the district and also in-charge of the ashram school.

Saying that the BJP would launch an agitation in this connection, Mrs Chowdhary demanded action against the guilty person(s) and for not reporting the same to the higher authorities.
