Judicial inquiry demanded into nurse's mysterious death

Madurai, Jan 28 (UNI) Father of a 21-year-old nurse, who was found hanging under mysterious circumstances yesterday at the house of a businessman, today demanded a judicial inquiry into the same.

Talking to newspersons here, a visibly upset Sundararajan suspected foul play in his daughter S Karpagavalli's death. They were informed about Karpagavalli's death only in the afternoon. But, she had allegedly committed suicide at 0900 hrs at the bathroom of Mr Nagesh, a close associate of a ruling DMK functionary.

He alleged that the police had rushed the body of Karpagavalli to the Government Rajaji Hospital, before they could arrive at the hospital.

It might be recalled that Karpagavalli was appointed by Nagesh to look after his ailing mother at his house in TVS Nagar in the City. The girl used to visit the house frequently to look after the elderly woman. Yesterday morning, Karpagavalli, had come to Nagesh's house for routine work and went to the Bathroom. Later, it was found that she was hanging in the bathroom.
