CU reader gets first prize in essay contest

Kozhikode, Jan 28 (UNI) Calicut University Malayalam Department Reader Anil Vallathole has been chosen for first prize in the essay competition organised in connection with the Mujahid State Conference 2009.

Kochi University junior librarian C Surendran and Alappuza Vinayapuram government high school teacher D Usha Rani have bagged second and third prizes respectively, a release said here today.

The prizes, including Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,500 for first, second and third ranks respectively will be presented to them at the meet beginning at Changaramkulam in Malapuram district on Janaury 31, the release added.
