Congress names 40 candidates for Nagaland poll

New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) Congress leader I Imkong will seek re-election from Jangpetkong constituency in the next month's Nagaland Assembly election as the party today announced the list of its first batch of 40 candidates.

Several sitting MLAs, who recently joined the Congress from the rival side, were also given tickets in the election for the 60-member state Assembly.

The second list will be announced in the next few days, AICC sources said.
