Call money opens high at 07.70 per cent

Mumbai, Jan 28 (UNI) Inter-bank call money rates today resumed firm at 07.70-07.75 per cent as against the previous close of 6.10 per cent on January 25 due to paucity of liquidity funds at the domestic market, dealers said.

Later, it fluctuated in a narrow range between 7.20 and 7.70 per cent during the mid-morning session. Sellers had reserved their liquidity funds in view of some good demand from local borrowers.

However, activity was restricted with cautious dealing, brokers pointed out.
