Brig Ravishankar awarded Pierre Fauchard Academy fellowship

Chandigarh, Jan 28 (UNI) Brig K Ravishankar, Commandant, Western Command Military Dental Centre has been awarded the Pierre Fauchard Academy fellowship.

Brig Ravishankar received the fellowship from Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Panabaaka Lakshmi during the 21st annual convocation and award ceremony of the Indian section of the Academy recently held at Maulana Azad Institution of Dental Sciences at New Delhi.

Brig K Ravishankar, VSM has done his Masters in Maxillofacial Surgery from Bombay University. He has been awarded the Fellowship of Indian Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He has held many specialist, teaching and administrative appointments in Air Force and Army during the last 34 years of uniformed service.

He has presented and published a number of papers and has been decorated with 'Chief of Air Staff Commendation' and 'Vishist Seva Medal'. He has also received the DGAFMS Trophy for 'Best Dental Centre' amongst all of the Command Dental Centres of Army and similar establishments in Air Force and Navy for the year 2006 and 'Best Air Force Dental Centre' during the year 2003 while Commanding 1 AFDC Palam.
