Badal pays tribute to 'Punjab Kesari'
Moga, Jan 28 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today visited Dhudike village, the native place of Punjab Kesri Lala Lajpat Rai, and paid floral tribute to the martyr on the occasion of his 143rd birth anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Lala Lajpat Rai's martyrdom was matchless as he not only laid down his life at the alter of freedom but also inspired youth to wage a struggle against tyrannical imperialism.
Later, Mr Badal distributed prizes to the winners of 53rd State Sports Festival organised in the village on the occasion of Lala Lajpat Rai's birth anniversary.
