Miscreants loot Rs 27 lakhs from Head post office

Munger, Jan 27 (UNI) A few micreants have looted Rs 27 lakhs from the Head post office here last night.

Superintendent of police (SP) Shaleen today said a group of miscreants attacked the post office and fled with the booty from the treasury.

They also threatened the watchman of dire consequences and tied his hands.

The SP also said that the homeguards, deployed in the security of the post office, were found quilty of dereliction in their duty adding that action would be taken against them.

He also suspected the involvement of some of the employees of the post office in the crime.
