Hy Housing Board to construct 300 houses for industrial workers
Rewari, Jan 27 (UNI) The Haryana Housing Board will construct 300 dwelling units for the industrial workers at Bawal in this district at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore.
This was stated by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hoodaafter laying the foundation stone of Rajiv Gandhi Convenient Shopping Complex-cum-Housing Board Colony at Sector-6, Dharuhera in the district yesterday.
The Chief Minister said that Housing Board Haryana had already developed a housing colony comprising 633 houses of different categories at Sector-6, Dharuhera. He said that out of these, 267 houses were meant for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 244 for LIG, 68 for MIG and 54 for HIG categories.
Mr Hooda said that to meet the growing demand of houses at Dharuhera, it was proposed to construct 552 double-storeyed flats and a Convenient Shopping Complex at an estimated cost of Rs 42 crore in this Colony. The construction of houses is likely to be completed by March 2009.
He said that the construction of 4384 dwelling units at a cost of Rs 457.02 crores at Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Sonipat, Madlauda, Bahadurgarh, Bhiwani, Gurgaon, Dharuhera and Faridabad were in progress. Out of the 4384 dwelling units, 1925 dwelling units (43.90%) were meant for EWS and LIG and 2459 dwelling units (56.10%) were for other categories.
While speaking on the occasion, the Minister of State for Housing Savitri Jindal said that the foundation stone of Indira Gandhi Convenient Shopping Complex-cum-Housing Board Colony, Sector-23, Sonipat would be laid by the Chief Minister on January 28, 2008.
She informed that all the Infrastructural services such as water supply, sewerage, external electrification, street lighting, parks/horticulture, rain water harvesting would be available in the colony. Besides this public utility services such as convenient shopping, community centre, creche', parks, reading room etc. were proposed to be provided in the housing colonies for the convenience of the residents of the colony.
The Chairperson, Housing Board Haryana, Mrs Parsanni Devi, Commissioner Housing, Mr R K Ranga, Chief Administrator, Housing Board Haryana, Mr S K Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Rewari, Mr Chander Parkash and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
