Cold wave conditions in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh

Pune, Jan 27 (UNI) Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, west Rajasthan and in some parts of Haryana and north Madhya Maharashtra.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and in some parts of Marathwada and of Vidarbha and in remaining parts of Maharashtra and at isolated places in Gujarat and east Madhya Pradesh.

The day was also cold in Konkan&Goa. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Telangana, Rayalaseema and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and of Karnataka and in remaining parts of Vidarbha. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Assam&Meghalaya, Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura, south Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and were above normal in some parts of Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu&Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occue at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam&Meghalaya, Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura West Bengal&Sikkim, Orissa and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan. Gujarat, Konkan&Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala.

Rain or snow have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa and at many places in Assam&Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and Andaman and Nicobar Islamds.

Mainly dry weather occurred at Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha. Gujarat, Konkan&Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
