SP MLA's nephew arrested

Hoshangabad, MP, Jan 26 (UNI) Samajwadi Party legislator Arjun Palia's nephew has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Congress councillor in broad daylight at Piparya in Hoshangabad, police said.

Additional Superintendent of Police N K Barkade said main accused Sanjay Palia was arrested last night. Two other accused were absconding.

Roopchandra Meghvaji, who had lodged a complaint with the police, had claimed that Sanjay gunned down Anil Bamoria, brother of Congress councillor Marshal Bamoria. Earlier, Dinesh Dhimole and Manish Palia had threatened Anil. At that time, Roopchand was with Anil.

The motive being the murder was yet to be ascertained.
