NY-based net pharmacy branch searched, 1 held

Chennai, Jan 26 (UNI) The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today conducted a search on the Coimbatore Branch Office of a New York-based internet pharmacy allegedly involved in illicit export of psychotropic substances and arrested one person in this connection apart from seizing incriminating documents.

An NCB South Zonal Unit release here said the psychotropic substances were being exported all over the world by the firm to its customers through orders placed on e-mail.

Branch Manager Ramakrishnan (60) was arrested. He was later remanded in judicial custody.
