Fake 'gutkha' manufacturing racket busted

Shahdol, MP, Jan 26 (UNI) A racket, involved in manufacturing fake 'gutkha', has been busted with the arrest of three people during a raid at Papari village in Annupur district, police said today.

Sunil Singh, Anil Singh and Gopal Yadav were arrested during the raid at the factory manufacturing 'gutkha'. Manufacturing equipments, pouchs and 'gutkha' were seized from them.

During interrogation, the trio, who hail from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur and Unnav, revealed that they used to manufacture 'gutkhas' in the name of brand companies. The accused could nor produce documents concerning factory. They were also involved in power theft.

It was being investigated where these 'gutkhas' were sent.
