Vizag Airport night landing facility by Mar

Visakhapatnam, Jan 25 (UNI) With works on approach lights nearing completion, the night landing facility at Visakhapatnam Airport will be operative by March end, Union Minister of State for Mines T Subbarami Reddy said today.

Addressing a meet-the-press programme here he said the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) would inspect the Airport later next month.

About the ongoing agitation for re-employment of displaced workers by the Rehabilitation Card Holders (R-Card holders) at Vizag Steel Plant, the Minister said the Ministry of Steel had assured that half the vacancies would be filled up with eligible R-Card holders.
