Strike cripples banking activity in MP
Bhopal, Jan 25 (UNI) Work in all banks in Madhya Pradesh remained crippled today as the employees joined in the nation-wide strike to press for various demands including wage revision.
About 3,000 employees staged demonstration and took out a rally in New Market area of the state capital.
Banking operations will remain suspended for three days from today due to the strike and holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
The strike was called by United Forum of Bank Unions, representing nine organisations of bank employees and officers.
Representatives of various other trade unions also extended their support to the bank strike, according to Forum spokesman M S Jayashankar.
