Leopard found dead in Deogarh forest
Sambalpur, Jan 25(UNI) A decomposed body of a leopard was found from Pradhanpat forest close to Deogarh town today.
Official sources said some tribals who had gone to the forest to collect firewood found the leopard lying dead.
They informed the incident to the forest officials who rushed to the site and recovered the body from the forest.
Forest officials suspected that the leopard might have died due to explosion which was rampantly used by the poachers to kill other animals for meat.
Forest Ranger G Shau said the cause of death of the animal would be known only after the analysis of the post mortem report.
