Lalu mourns Usha Narayanan's death
New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has mourned the death of former First Lady Usha Narayanan, describing her as a pious, noble and caring personality whose demise was an irreparable loss.
In his condolence message to Ms Chitra Narayanan, daughter of late former President K R Narayanan, Mr Prasad said, ''Myself and my wife Rabri Devi are deeply shocked and grieved to learn the demise of your mother Smt Usha Narayanan on 24th January 2008. We personally feel that we have lost a pious, noble and caring personality and her demise has left a void, which will be difficult to fill.'' The message said: ''At this hour of grief and sorrow, we extend our heart-felt condolences to you and pray to the Almighty to rest her soul in everlasting peace and give strength to your family to bear this irreparable loss.''
