Jharcraft to sign MoU for development of garment industries
Jamshedpur, Jan 25 (UNI) The Jharkhand government has decided to encourage the garment industries with the help of Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would be signed between the AEPC and Jharcraft soon,said Deputy Chief Minister Sudhir Mahto here today.
Talking to the reporters Mr Mahto said the government sought the help of AEPC for the next three years for the development of garment and handicraft industries throughout the state and setting up Apparel Export Unit in the state.
He also urged the AEPC to open Apparel Management Institute (AMI) in the state.The government would extend all sorts of help in setting up AMI,Mr Mahto assured.
He informed that Apparel Training and Designing Centre (ATDC)had already been opened at Irwa near the state capital and the government had approved to open 10 more ATDC in different locations in the state.
