Indo-Swedish initiative to focus on sustainable mobility
Bangalore, Jan 25 (UNI) The Swedish Trade Council is organising and presenting a state-to-state Seminar on 'Sustainable Mobility-Indo Swedish Perspectives' in this Garden City and Delhi on February 4 and 6 respectively.
Organised in partnership with Volvo Cars, Trucks and Buses and the Embassy of Sweden in India, the seminar aims to bring forth the critical challenges involved in realising sustainable transport solutions in the country and address these key issues, according to a release here yesterday.
Eminent speakers from India and Sweden, including the Ministers for Environment, Andress Carigren of Sweden and Namo Narain Meena of India, would participate at the seminar in Delhi.
The objective of the seminar was to bring together policy makers, transport industry professionals, urban development organisations, governing authorities, automobile industry professionals and environmentalists on a single platform to address the challenges for sustainable mobility.
An exhibition on sustainable mobility would be an added attraction in Delhi during the seminar.
Other eminent speakers include Lara Erik Liljelund of Swedish Environment Protection Agency, Lara Nilsson of Swedish Road Administration, Dr Gita Sen of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Siv Persson of World Wildlife fund.
In Bangalore, the event would be supported by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) and Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) and in Delhi the Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) would support.
