HUJI leader killed in J and K encounter
Kishtwar (J-K): Harkat-ul-Jehad-al-Islami (HuJI) leader and mastermind behind UP blasts, Bashir Ahmed alias Saba, has been killed in an encounter with security forces at Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtawar District.
Ahmed, a resident of Kishtawar district was wanted by Jammu and Kashmir police in connection with serial blasts in three court premises of Uttar Pradesh in November last year which killed a dozen people and injured several others.
Ahmed is also believed to be involved in Hyderabad blasts in August last year, which killed over 50 people.
A satellite phone, a wireless set and some AK rifles were recovered from the slain militant
Bashir Ahmed had been active in Kashmir since 1992 and allegedly trained militants in Pakistan for several years.
