HS Kang and Pauline JM Singh putt titles

Chandigarh, Jan 25 (UNI) HS Kang and Pauline JM Singh putted titles in the men's and women's open categories, respectively, in the Tata Safari Chandigarh Golf Championshipat the 72-par Chandigarh Golf Club course here today.

Kang today played eight over par 80 for an aggregate two days' total of 154 (74+80).

One stroke behind Kang was Abhijit Chadha (89+75).

Ram Pal (80+77) and Lt Col RS Grewal (80+77) finished tied fifth with an identical total of 157.

Paulin JM Singh was far ahead of first runner-up Sonali Chibber in the women's open category. Paulin today returned a card of 90 and totalled 176 (86+90). Sonali's aggregate was 184 (89+95). S Ratia (93+94=187), Binny Bath (98+96=194) and Rima Dhillon (93+103=195) finished in that order.

In A category, Mansimran (81+82=163) captured the top place while Shashi (AC) was first runner-up with 83+92=175). Akshay Sharma (89+89=178), Shajada Khan (90+104=194) and Gagandeep (AC) (96+99=195) got third, fourth and fifth places.
