Five APYC Presidents suspended for inept performance

Hyderabad, Jan 25 (UNI) Indian Youth Congress Secretary and Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) affairs in-charge Shakeer Sanadi today said the party had decided to suspend five district YC Presidents in the state for their dismal performance in the membership drive.

Accompanied by State YC President P J R Sudhakar Babu, Mr Sanadi said G Srinivasa Rao, Nizamabad, A Sridhar, Visakhpatnam Rural, Ramakrishna Reddy, Ranga Reddy, K Raghu, Rajahmundry in East Godavari and Manohar Naidu, Guntur City, would be suspended from the party, as their performance was unsatisfactory.

He said the party had issued show-cause notices to District Presidents of Nellore, Srikakulam, Kadapa, Medak, Guntur Rural Khammam and Chittoor, seeking their explanation in a week's time.

Mr Sudhakar said YC had enrolled seven lakh members during its membership drive. Several measures were taken to strengthen the party in the state, he added.
