Conference on Mechanical engineering

Mohali, Jan 25 (UNI) The international conference on latest developments in the field of Mechanical Engineering concluded at Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Tangori near here today.

Marked by the presence of a galaxy of eminent scientists, researchers, academicians and industrial players from Australia, US and Singapore apart from all over India, the conference dwelled upon the need to revamp, refresh and renew the existing knowledge referential points in academic sphere most importantly.

The conference saw over 125 papers on a variety of subjects ranging from environmental issues related to mechanical engineering like alternative fuels and emissions to production, design and industrial engineering concepts being presented.

A highlight of the conference was a Rs 7000 unique concept turbo car manufactured by SUSCET team led by Dr B Lonia, which can be adapted into a more practical model for on-roads use.
