Ruchi Soya posts Rs 59.47 cr profit

Mumbai, Jan 24 (UNI) Ruchi Soya Industries has reported a profit of Rs 59.47 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007, registering a growth of 58.5 per cent over the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company has attributed its performance to its growth sales of Nutrela, Mahakosh, Ruchi Gold, Soyumm and Ruchi No 1 brands, which grew by 118 per cent crossing Rs 904 crore during the quarter as compared to Rs 414 crore in the same period last year.

The net sales of the company was Rs 3196.63 crore during the period, representing a growth of 12 per cent over the corresponding period last year, a press release here said.
