More dip in temperature coupled with hailstorm predicted in J'khand

Ranchi, Jan 24 (UNI) The Minimum temperature today further dipped in Jharkhand and the weather continued to remain chilly accompanied by occasional drizzles with meteriological department indicating a similar condition for the next 48 hours.

Met department here predicted light or moderate rainfall in few areas for the next two days in the state.

Today's minimum temperature was recorded at 10.1 degrees Celsius against the maximum of 14.2 degrees Celsius.

People in Ranchi might have to bear the onslaught of the winter more as the minimum temperature was expected to go down to about eight degrees, met official Kuldeep Srivastav told UNI.

Mr Srivastav said the condition would continue for the next two days.

''Hailstorm is expected in next twenty-four hours in few areas due to the cyclonic effect,'' he added.
