Khasra copies to be distributed in MP
Bhopal, Jan 24 (UNI) On Republic Day, the Madhya Pradesh government will embark on a roughly Rs 20-crore scheme to distribute khasra B 1 (a land record book) copies and the new land rights booklet to the state's 1.25 crore farmers and the exercise is scheduled to conclude by March 31.
''Initially two booklets were there for peasants but that caused several types of hurdles. All the relevant information has been compiled in one booklet now and that bears a hologram to prevent copying. The government is about to give rural land and housing ownership rights,'' state Revenue Minister Kamal Patel told reporters today.
Governor Balram Jakhar would distribute them to ryots here, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Balaghat and other ministers in districts of their charge.
