Five members of a family commit suicide

Bhubaneswar, Jan 24 (UNI) A woman along with her four daughters committed suicide in Patasundarpur village under Govindpur police station in Cuttack district last night.

Govindpur Inspector in Charge Braja Kishore Nanda said here today that Kailash Sethi found his wife and daughters lying dead this morning and informed the police.

Police said the woman might have poisoned her children to death before comsuming it herself following a feud with her husband over financial matters.

The eldest daughter was 22, whereas the youngest one was only four-years old.

The bodies have been sent for postmorterm, Mr Nanda said adding that investigations were on.
