CM held up as water supply pipes freeze in Shimla
Shimla, Jan 24 (UNI) The continuing drinking water woes in Shimla town today claimed their victim in Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal who was forced to re-schedule or call off his prior engagements after all water supply lines froze following a night temperature of minus 4.4 degrees Celsius.
Mr Dhumal had to call off his scheduled visit to the office of a local fortnightly magazine here after water supply lines to his official residence had frozen due to sub-zero temperatures, besides delaying his other engagements.
Normal life has been thrown out of gear in the state capital, which recorded sub-zero temperatures for the fourth consecutive day today.
