BJP disagrees with Rahul's perception on 'adversary'
New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) The BJP today disagreed with Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's perception of holding its senior leader L K Advani responsible for making public the contents of his private conversation.
The party said it was not proper for anyone to find fault for a chance meeting at the airport lounge.
Sought for his reaction to Mr Gandhi's statement, BJP spokesman Ravishankar Prasad said Mr Advani had asked Mr Gandhi and the Congress to make a distinction between political adversary and an enemy.
He said although Mr Gandhi seemed to accept Mr Advani's advice to differentiate between an 'adversary' and an 'enemy', however, it did not reflect in the language used by the Congress, which spoke of 'maut ka saudagar' (merchants of death).
Mr Gandhi should remember that his meeting with Mr Advani was not a secret and had taken place in front of people present in the lounge, Mr Prasad said.
