Bailable warrant issued against Delhi BJP MLA Karan Singh
New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) A city court today issued a bailable warrant against Delhi BJP MLA Karan Singh Tanwar for not appearing before the court on October 16, 1995.
CBI Special Judge Vinod Goel issued the warrant as Mr Tanwar was not appearing before the court for recording his evidence.
Mr Tanwar has registered a complaint against a businessman Jasbeer Singh Chawla for offering him bribe, while he was the administrator of FPEM Committee of Jama Masjid.
Mr Chawla had approached him for allotment of three shops and offered him a sum of Rs 6 lakhs.
Chawla was caught red-handed while offering the bribe of huge amount.
The court has fixed April 22 for the next date of hearing.
