14 hours railway booking in select counters in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Jan 24 (UNI) The East Coast Railway(ECoR) has decided to keep the reservation booking counters opened for 14 hours in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri and Brahmapur stations under Khurda Road Division for the convenience of travelling passengers and rail users.

An ECoR release issued here today said the working hours of Passengers Reservation Systems (PRS) at Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri and Brahmapur stations would be now from 0800 hours to 2200 hours instead of 0800 hours to 2000 hours.

The new arrangement will be made temporarily on an experimental basis for a period of three months from January 25, the sources said.

Meanwhile, in a bid to clear extra rush of waitlisted passengers, ECoR has decided to augment one extra Sleeper Class Coach in 8463 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanti Express on January 25 from Visakhapatnam to Bangalore city and on January 26 from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore City.

Similarly, in the return direction 8464 Bangalore-Bhubaneswar Prashanti Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach on from Bangalore City to Bhubaneswar from January 26 and 27.
