Vani bus accident toll rises to 40

Nashik, Jan 23 (UNI) The toll in the accident, involving a private luxury bus at Saptashring Garh near Vani here last Sunday, has gone up to 40, with one more person succumbing to his injuries today According to hospital sources, Kiran Lohar (13), a resident of Mulund, Mumbai, breathed his last in the hospital this morning. As many as 42 people were injured in the accident.

All the bodies have been identified and handed over to their relatives. Most of the injured have been either discharged or shifted to Mumbai for further treatment.

At present, there are only two people undergoing treatment at the Nashik district civil hospital.
