Union Minister faces wrath of people at Rohtas
Dehri On Sone (Bihar), Jan 23 (UNI) Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Meira Kumar faced the wrath of the local people during a public meeting at Akbarpur village under Town police station in Rohtas district.
Police Superintendent N H Khan said here today that the villagers annoyed at the non-development of the area and demanding construction of Dehri-Rohtas road, protested before Ms Kumar yesterday.
He said the irate mob shouted slogans against the Minister.
Mr Khan said proper security arrangements had been made keeping in view the Minister's visit in the extremism-affected area and the central reserve police force, special task force and district police had been deployed for the security.
Mr Khan said the officer in-charge of Rohtas had been directed to lodge an FIR against those, who had shouted slogans against the Minister.
He said a report of the incident had already been sent to the state government.
