TN CM's son produced in court in murder case
Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 23 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's son M K Azhagiri, the main accused in the case relating to the murder of former DMK Minister T Kiruttinan in 2003, was today produced before a lower court.
First Additional District Sessions Judge incharge Singharachari adjourned hearing in the case to February four after Mr Azhagiri was produced in the court, along with 12 other accused, amidst heavy bandobust.
They appeared before the First Additional District Sessions Judge incharge as Distict Sessions Judge P Durgaprasad, who was hearing the case, was on leave.
All the documents related to the case, translated from Tamil to English, were submitted in the court today.
Mr Kiruttinan was murdered near his residence in Madurai on May 20, 2003. The case was tranferred to Andhra Pradesh following a Supreme Court order on a petition filed by one of the witnesses, who expressed apprehensions of a free and fair trial in Tamil Nadu under the DMK regime.
