Tight security in Assembly premises

Puducherry, Jan 23 (UNI) Puducherry Speaker R Radhakrishnan today convened a meeting of all legislators to discuss the issue of tightening security to the legislative assembly here.

According to official sources, all the ministers barring Chief Minister N Rangasamy and 18 legislators participated in the meeting.

It was decided to restrict the entry of public into the assembly prmises. Only those who possess a voter identity card or licence on recommendation from the legislators would be allowed in. It was also decided to allow only 30 cars in the premises.

The measures would be implemented from the second week of February.
