Pramod Mahajan blackmailed by Moitra: Pravin

Mumbai, Jan 23: Pravin Mahajan, convicted by a sessions court for murdering his brother and BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, has in his appeal to the High Court said Pramod Mahajan's secretary Vivek Moitra had been trying to blackmail the BJP leader. The appeal was filed last week in the Bombay High Court and Pravin Mahajan has challenged the life imprisonment awarded to him.

His appeal will come up for hearing within the next few days. In his appeal, Pravin Mahajan has said the sessions court has wrongly convicted him and the evidence placed by the prosecution before the sessions court lacked substance.
