Andhra Pradesh: Naxal killed in encounter

A
naxal
of
CPI
(Maoist)
party
was
killed
in
an
encounter
with
police
near
Siddardha
forest
area
at
Tekulapalli
village
in
Khammam
district
of
Andhra
Pradesh
today.
Police said the special party police noticed the movement of naxals while carrying out a combing operation. Two of the naxals opened fire at the police party when they came face to face.
In retaliation, police also fired at them, in which one Maoist was killed on the spot while the other escaped.
The slain naxal was identified as Swamy, Maoist party Sudhakar dalam member. One weapon was also recovered from the spot.
