Multinatl employee held with 2 students for snatching
New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) A woman executive working for an MNC along with two teenaged students was arrested from Lajpat Nagar area of south Delhi for running a snatching racket.
Ekta Munshani (24), working with an international firm, was arrested along with two students, aged 18 and 19, yesterday while looking for their prey on Ring Road in Lajpat Nagar, police said today.
The gang would operate using a Santro car and was popularly known as the 'Black Santro Gang' and began 'operation' in December last year.
Those arrested along with the woman studied in Class 10th and 12th.
Interrogation revealed that she did the snatching to fund her proposed marriage to her former collegue.
A car, nine stolen credit cards, four mobile phones, three cameras, an electronic diary, calculator, seven snatched purses and some costume jewellery were recoverd from their possession.
