Metropolis experiencing chill due to northern winds
Mumbai, Jan 23 (UNI) People in the Metropolis continued to shiver, with the minimum temperature coming down to 12 degrees Celsius today.
The weather was chilly in the morning due to Western Disturbances, a weather bureau official told UNI here this evening.
''There has been snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, as a result the temperature in Shimla is minus one degree Celsius, and in other parts of Himachal Pradesh it is minus two degrees and in Kashmir it is minus three degreee Celsius'', the official said.
The minimum temperature recorded in Santacruz was 12 degrees and in Colaba it was 16.5 degree Celsius. It will be cold for another two days, he added.
The sale of woollen clothes, sweaters and heaters had gone up in the city. This is also a hard time for asthma patients in the city as they start wheezing due to the cold, said a doctor.
