Janhit Congress stages dharna against Meena Mandal

Karnal, Jan 23 (UNI) Dalit leaders of Kuldeep Bishnoi's Janhit Congress today staged a dharna in front of the house of Cooperative and Archaelogy minister Meena Mandal demanding her sack from the Cabinet alleogedly for taking graft money of Rs 15 lakh from three Hisar-based youths on promise of job.

The three youths in a press conference at Hisar had yesterday alleged that each of them had given Rs 5 lakh to the minister's brothers, Jeetender and Ravinder Mandal for getting jobs in Cooperative Banks of Haryana as clerks. But they did not get the job and were instead threatened by the brothers when they demanded the money back, the youths had alleged.

SSP Hisar Shibas Kaviraj today said DSP Headquarters are looking into the veracity of the charges and a case would be registered only on the basis of his report.

Janhit leaders said if the Hooda government acted ''softly'' against the minister and her kin, they would launch a state-wide agitation against the Congress government.
