Five killed in jeep accident in Haryana
Kaithal, Jan 23 (UNI) Five people were killed and four others seriously injured when their jeep rammed into a Haryana roadways bus near Khanoda village of this district tonight.
Three of the deceased were identified as Puran Chand of Barna village, Madan Jadola and Ram Chander of Sarsa. All the four injured, identified as Charan Singh, Faqeer Chand, Joginder and Ram Chander, were rushed to the PGI Chandigarh in serious condition.
The bodies of the deceased were brought to the general hospital here for autospsies.
Deputy Commissioner S K Goel and SP Anil Kumar rushed to the scene to take stock of the situation.
The DC announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 25,000 to each of the injured.
