College and university teachers to protest on Jan 25

Mumbai, Jan 23 (UNI) College and university teachers under the banner of Bombay University and College Teachers Union (BUCTU) will stage a protest on January 25.

Speaking to reporters here today, BUCTU general secretary Tapati Mukhopadaya said that the agitation is to highlight the ''harassment faced by the teachers during university examinations and the non-implementation of government's orders on increment in some colleges in tribal areas, and other demands,'' Ms Mukhopadhyay said.
