British envoy to address CDPS workshop
Guwahati, Jan 23 (UNI) British Deputy High Commissioner to Eastern India Simon Wilson would address a workshop on ''Identity and Development: The Twin Challenges in India's Northeast'' here.
The two-day national workshop, organised by the Guwahati-based Centre for Development and Peace Studies (CDPS), a non-government thinktank, engaged in peace and development studies and research, would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on January 28.
Mr Gogoi would also inaugurate the website of the CDPS, which would contain data and overviews, besides topical analysis on issues concerning peace and development in the region.
Dr M Govinda Rao, Member, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and Director, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), T K Oommen would deliver special lectures on the opening day of the workshop.
