Woman kidnaps new born baby from hospital

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) A new-born baby boy was kidnapped from the Nayapool Maternity hosptial by a woman in the city here today.

Police said a 30-year-old Fatima cultivated friendship with Ms Nusrat, who delivered a boy a few days ago in the hospital.

With an intention to kidnap the boy, Fatima came to the hosptial this morning and spent sometime with Ms Nusrat.

Later, she took the boy, stating that she would take the boy to another ward for treatment.

When asked about the whereabouts of the baby boy, the hospital authorities said there was no information about the boy and they did not shift the infant to any other ward.

The irate relatives of Nusrat staged a dharna before the hosptial where MLA Ahmed Pasha Kadri was also present and demanded action against the hospital authorities for negligence.
