Soni meets Singapore minister at ASEAN meet

Singapore, Jan 22 (UNI) Visiting Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambika Soni met Minister of State for Trade and Industry for Singapore, S Iswaran at the first meeting of ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers in Bangkok.

The bilateral discussion between Mr Iswaran and Ms Soni yesterday included exploring new areas of possible collaboration between the two countries in mutually beneficial areas of tourism such as cultural exchange, youth travel and cruise, said the Singapore Tourism Board in a statement issued in Singapore today.

Mr Iswaran was in Bangkok for the 11th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers and related meetings.

Ms Soni represented India at the first meeting of ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers.
